The Northwest Arkansas Regional Planning staff will hold another input session for cyclists to mark preferred routes in Washington and Benton County. Maps and markers provided.

If you enjoy trails, and would like to offer a service to our community, consider becoming a Trail Trekker, and periodically patrolling and reporting on the condition of the trail. Trained eyes on the trail create a safer, more community-building atmosphere. Fore more info, see:

WHERE: 525 S. School, Fayetteville, Arkansas 72701
ENTRY: $15 (includes Bicycle Coalition of the Ozarks membership)
Also, bring unneeded helmets for donations

ROUTES: Two out-n-backs:

Fayetteville to Brentwood (~36 mi) Mostly level, not joking!
Fayetteville to Mountainberg (~75 mi)
The long route goes over Mt Gaylor, approx 800 ft. elev change mostly in one big climb.

chevron Bike Lanes are Coming to Fayetteville!
To create a active transporation network, a city must create the sort of On-Street Linkages that encourage cyclists to brave mixed traffic.

Thanks to actions resulting from the Fayetteville Forward Summitt held last March, the City of Fayetteville will be budgeting for about 8 miles of bicycle-specific improvements per year.
